Camp Rock Enon is gearing up for a fun week during June 26th - July 1st, 2005 during Cub Resident Camp. The theme "Adventures in Space" promises to be a fun filled week of fun activities such as crafts, games, swimming, archery, hiking, BB guns shooting, and much more.

The new format this year has the Wolves and Bears coming in on Sunday, June 26th and staying until after lunch on Wednesday, June 29th. the Webelos will stay for a week of camp coming in on June 26th and staying until July 1st.

Our mission is; to strengthen dens and packs by introducing Cub Scouts and Webelos to outdoor skills, thus insuring the overall enhancement of Cub Scout/Webelos goals, including citizenship, character development, conservation, and achievement.

Resident camp is a special long-term activity for the Cub Scouts and Webelos that provides excellent transition from Cub Scout program and Day Camp to the Boy Scout Program and traditional Boy Scout Summer Camp. As the best of both worlds it gets the Scouts used to spending multiple nights in the woods while providing a well structured program full of super activities to keep them busy. In other words it takes the best ingredients of Day Camp and adds to it some of the spices of the Boy Scout program to create a special opportunity for Cub Scouts and Webelos.

Cub Scout Day Camp

The theme for the 2005 National Capital Area Council Cub Scout Day Camps is A Festival Of Knights.

A Festival of Knights– Medieval Majesty at its finest!

It's time to polish up your suit of armor and join Sir Campalot at this year's Cub Scout Day Camp, A Festival of Knights.  Spend time learning about the days of old with knights and ladies at the camp of your choice.  Join in the fun of building a catapult, storm the castle walls, and learn about your heritage while painting a shield with your own unique heraldry.  Explore the time of castles, moats, and knights on horseback by living the history that made it great at the 2005 National Capital Area Council's Day Camps. The "Dayes of Olde" offer many surprises at camp this summer so don't miss the excitement! Imagine being a horseman or a knight protecting the castle from invading dragons, and think of what fun you can have jousting with your friends. The possibilities for day camp are endless…the only thing you need to add to this adventure is YOU!

 Activities
Activities vary from camp to camp, but usually range from traditional Scouting games and achievement opportunities to archery and BB instruction, crafts, nature study, soccer, fishing, handicrafts, leatherwork, and camp skills. Some activities will vary from camp to camp depending on local and state laws. For more information on activities of a specific day camp, contact the number listed with that camp on the Dates and Locations form or the National Capital Area Council Information Center at (301) 530-9360. Please include the name of the camp location and district with your inquiry.

Dedicated family members, Scout leaders, and other adults will turn out to assist volunteer camp staff members. All of our Cub Scout Day Camps will have trained Camp Directors and Program Directors who are certified by BSA's National Camping School.
